Thank you for trying the workaround, I'm sorry that it only works temporarily. I've shared your comments regarding the impact this issue continues to have on your workflow with our team.

Hi Dave,
The workaround sometimes works, then it stops working. Definitely nice to see it sometimes works, but it's still inconvenient when it stops working. High performance mode is really a must. If anyone actually tries using it, you can see it's much easier on the eyes. I consider it an accessibility feature and for that reason using standard mode isn't really acceptable. I hope this gets some attention instead of being a niche ask.
Thanks for the help.

Been a year now, any updates on this? Will we ever see a fix?

For Jump Desktop users...I was able to stop the instant locking by unchecking "Privacy Mode" under the Jump Desktop "Remote" menu.

I've been having this locking issue for years on both Intel and M1 Mac Minis, predating High Performance sharing. But yes, I am using HP now.

I'm sorry that you're seeing the same issue. Are you using high-performance screen sharing? If you are then do you still see the same issue when you switch to use standard mode for screen sharing? Screen sharing type options on Mac - Apple Support (CA)

BTW it locks equally in Safari as it does in the full app. Same code is determining inactivity.
