auto-unlock the browser extension with say a passkey on Windows devices?

Thanks for reaching out! We're currently testing passkey unlock for 1Password in our public beta: Unlock 1Password with a passkey (beta)

Passkey unlock isn't currently available for 1Password Families or for existing individual accounts.

I can only see an option for Windows Hello but these are personal devices so no Windows Hello and we're using the family subscription.

Can you tell me a little more about what you mean why you say that you don't have Windows Hello because "these are personal devices"? Windows Hello unlock doesn't require a business version of either Windows or 1Password. You can read more about using Windows Hello to unlock 1Password here:
