Is there a way to auto-unlock the browser extension with say a passkey on Windows devices? I can only see an option for Windows Hello but these are personal devices so no Windows Hello and we're ...

Thank you for clarifying. With that in mind, it sounds like the best option would be to set an account password that is easier to type in while still being unique and secure: How to choose a good 1Password account password

Alternatively, you could reach out to the school's IT department to see if they have any advice on how to use Windows Hello while still using school accounts.
