Me too. I just uploaded a website and thought I had a problem with the changes. Glad I Googled it before going on a wild goose chase. The Safari extension of 1Password has been a pain for ages.

I certainly don't want to unduly increase the pressure ... but are there any news regarding this? Thing is, the Console displays this error for each an every site. A considerable part of my work includes working with the developer tools to troubleshoot issues with websites. To avoid irritating users I either have to edit screenshots I send them or disable the 1Password add-on and reload the page. Both options add a considerable tedium. And: Something is apparently wrong which needs fixing, is it? :-) Looking at my fellow posters here, I doubt I am the only one ... so: Pretty please. :-)

Roenfeldt I'm sorry that the issue is causing disruption to your workflow. Our developers have finished coding a fix for the issue and are currently testing that fix in the nightly version of 1Password in the browser. Once the team's testing verifies that the fix fully resolves the issue, and doesn't introduce new issues, the fix will make it's way into future updates to the beta and then stable versions. Still getting these errors. I'm a software developer. Seeing errors in the console is quite distressing and distracting, especially when they're absolutely nothing to do with anything I'm working on.

Just an FYI for folks, at least in Chrome you can put "-injected.js" in the filter box in the dev tools console to hide this error until they get the fix deployed.

Big +1 for mmaass 's message here.
While to us developers an issue retrieving an icon is assumed to be trivial and non-security related, it doesn't sound trivial at all to other users or recipients of screenshots to say "Oh that's just a little error from 1PASSWORD, a security tool, nothing to see there."

Looks like this is solved in the latest beta? Any ETA on releasing a patch version?

Both Firefox and Chrome on macOS have the following error in the Developer Tools Console when the 1Password extension is enabled:

I'm amazed by the number of people complaining about this.

For anyone worried about the issue, there shouldn't be any observable impact except for that log line, so there's no need to worry if you're seeing this error. I do understand how the repeated message can be inconvenient to developers and I'm sorry again for the noise.

Does anyone give the devs a chance? Or read the posts above their own?
