Delete tags from list of tags in 1P 8 in iPadOS

How do you Delete tags from list of tags in 1P 8 in iPadOS? I am not asking how to delete a tag from an item, but rather to get rid of tags in the list of tags one can choose from in the left column ...

I found this suggestion from 1Password rep that still appears to work.

You can permanently delete a tag by using the 1Password for Mac app:

Open and unlock 1Password for Mac.
In the sidebar scroll down to where your tags are listed.
Right-click on a tag and then click Delete.
This will untag all of the items currently tagged with that tag and then permanently delete the tag.
