3 years agoDoes 1Password disable autofill in unrelated input fields on Chrome?
I'm developing a web site. Some of my users have requested autofill in a subject field. This field (indeed, the entire page) has nothing that concerns 1Password. No passwords. No credit card info...

Thanks for reaching out to us here. 🙂
While 1Password in the browser wasn't specifically designed to play nice alongside the built-in autofill for various browsers, there is a way to make life a little easier in your case. To do this, you'll want to turn off this setting in the 1Password browser extension:
- Right click the 1Password icon in the browser's toolbar and select 'Settings'.
- Under General, turn off 'Make 1Password the default password manager'.
This will essentially remove the message '1Password -- Password Manager is controlling this setting' you're seeing, and allow you to use Chrome's built-in autofill, without disabling the 1Password extension.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you run into any weirdness and I'll be happy to help however I can.
