Edge browser cannot login to 1password extension
I have two computers. Four years ago I created a 1password trial account, but didn't use it. Yesterday I was unable to use that account so I deleted it and started fresh, using the same email address...

I have two computers. Four years ago I created a 1password trial account, but didn't use it. Yesterday I was unable to use that account so I deleted it and started fresh, using the same email address as before. I was surprised and pleased that I was able to create a new account with the same email.
The new account is successful in Chrome and Edge on my laptop, but only in Chrome on my desktop.
Today I first installed 1password on laptop with Windows 11 Pro and added the extension to both Chrome and Edge.
Then I go to desktop computer (Windows 10 Pro) and find the extension already is installed in both these browsers. When I login to 1password in Chrome it asks me for my secret key (from Emergency Kit) and then all is well.
But when I attempt to login to 1password in Edge on the desktop computer, it says "This account has been deleted." It shows my correct email for login and the correct first 8 characters of the secret key. I then removed the extension from Edge on my desktop computer, reinstalled and tried again. Same problem.
I'm baffled. Can anyone help?
