How can I disable the password generator pop up (the option in settings is grayed out)?
I've tried everything I can think of on all of the apps and in the browser. The closest I got was in the Chrome extension where I was able to find toggle where you can select whether to use as defaul...

10 months agoHello lalaudigan, thank you for reaching out. I apologize for any interruption in your workflow caused by this.
1Password in the browser's Password Generator cannot be turned off. However, I'll be happy to share your feedback with our product team for further consideration.
Can you share any additional information/details when 1Password saved the generated password rather than the password entered so I can share that with the team? Could you click the 1Password icon in the password field to hide the Inline menu below the field instead of clicking the password suggestion?
You mentioned:
The closest I got was in the Chrome extension where I was able to find toggle where you can select whether to use as default for suggestions...but it is grayed out/disabled.
This option is unavailable because at least one Password Generator type has to be enabled. If you toggled the "Use as default for suggestions" option on a different Password Generator "type" then the original option would be turned off/disabled.
Alternatively, you can turn off the autofill menu on field focus in 1Password in the browser. This will allow you to show/hide 1Password’s autofill menu manually as needed by clicking the 1Password icon within the field. Here’s how to turn that setting off:
- Right-click on the 1Password icon in the browser's toolbar and select "Settings".
- In the Autofill section, toggle off "Show autofill suggestions when a form field is in focus".
I hope that helps. Let me know if you have any questions. 🙂
