How do I add 2FA to LinkedIn account when it only offers an authenticator app?

I want to add 2FA to my LinkedIn account, but they don't show a QR code; they give you a secret code to create an account on an authenticator app. How do I add this method of 2FA to 1Password? ...

Can you paste the code into 1Password? Use 1Password as an authenticator for sites with two-factor authentication

  1. Open and unlock 1Password.
  2. Select the Login item for the website, then click Edit.
  3. Click Add More, then choose One-Time Password.
  4. You may need to scroll down to see these options.
  5. Click to scan the QR code from your screen or clipboard.

  6. If you can’t scan the QR code, most sites will give you a string of characters you can copy and paste instead.

  7. Click Save.
