Passkey experience - keyboard

Until passkeys came along, I could always conveniently and quickly sign into websites without taking my hands off the keyboard.

Now that passkeys exist, I have to annoyingly use the mouse to click 'Sign in'.

I just thought that it will get better soon, because it's all new, and the developers haven't got around to fixing it yet. But perhaps it hasn't occurred to them?

I suggest that the extension should allow users to assign keyboard shortcuts to sign in with a passkey.

When my browser pops up the Sign in with passkey bubble in the top right corner of the page, pressing Enter submits it and signs me in to the site.

You mention "Sign in", which sounds like the new bubble in the top middle of the page, which can be selected with Enter if you tab through sufficient items on the page.
Since this a kind of shortcut for autofilling where the focus is on a form field, focusing in the "Sign in" bubble rather than the first input field may be a good or bad idea, however this appears to unrelated to passkeys and you may be conflating these.

How sites are configured to get to the passkey prompt vary widely from the good ones which instantly offer to identify and authenticate with the passkey to those which require username, password, and additional selections before offering passkey as a second factor.
