Sidekick unlock with Apple Watch?

I would recommend updating macOS as soon as possible. There have been several updates to your version. Additionally please update 1Password to 8.10.6 when possible.

Based on your description if the Integrate with 1Password.app button is non functional then Apple Watch unlock would not be available. That's because 1Password 8 does the heavy lifting so to speak and relays that feature to 1Password in the browser via the connection.
