Site Problem: Bank of America - prompt to save (incorrect) credentials after successful sign-in

New behavior that started ? (sometime in the past six months). This happens in Safari but not in Chrome.

After successfully logging into Bank of America’s website using 1Password auto-fill, I am always prompted to "Save login”. In addition, this prompt does not record the username and saves asterisks instead of the entered password. I tried using “Update Existing” to see if there was some difference that was creating this, but it erased the username and overwrote the password with asterisks.

It’s probably BofA doing something that tricks 1Password, but it’s very annoying and potentially overwrites valid data with invalid data, creating another annoyance. There is no username history, and the username for BofA is not my email, so this is potentially access blocking if someone does what is “right”.

macOS 15.3.2, 1Password for Mac 8.10.68 (81068012), 1Password for Safari 8.10.64.7 (problem has continued through many previous versions)

P.S. When will the Safari extension unlock when the app unlocks?
