Two login buttons on page: auto-fill selects wrong one

Hi all,

The ING Banking login page in Germany recently changed to offer log-in with QR code, see here.

When I use my 1Password Chrome extension it (probably) prefills the right information, but then triggers the "Anmelden mit QR Log-in" button, instead of the plain "Anmelden".

Is there a way that I can somehow update 1Password to select the right one as I now have to copy and paste the details manually, which isn't ideal.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Thanks for sharing the workaround - this has resolved the tedium of having to manually copy and paste for the moment. Much appreciated.

Hi Achtel, thanks for reaching out!

I'm sorry that you're experiencing trouble when autofilling on the ING login page. I can confirm that this is a known issue, and I've shared your experience with our development team while they investigate. I apologize for any inconvenience.

While I'm unable to provide an exact timeline for a fix, once there is one, it will be listed in our release notes. In the meantime, you can disable the auto-submit feature for this specific Login item using the following steps:

    1. Make sure that 1Password in your browser is fully up to date: How to keep 1Password up to date in your browser
    2. Click the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar to unlock the extension and open the pop-up.
    3. If the Login item isn't already suggested, search for it and and click to view the item's details.
    4. Click on the More options menu which is accessible via the ellipsis button ( ⋮ ).
    5. Select "Don't sign in automatically" in the dropdown menu.

I'll be moving this thread to the 1Password in the Browser category, so that others experiencing this issue will be able to find this thread easier. Let me know if there's anything else I can help you with!
