1Password 7 Setup does not start on Windows 10

in 1Password 7 for Windows

I just downloaded the latest Windows 10 installer for 1password 7 (1PasswordSetup-7.3.657.exe) onto my Windows 10 system. After I double click it, nothing happens.

Where should I start looking?

    After I did some more reading in these forums, it looks like I am not the only one having that problem.

    So I followed everything I read in other articles, e.g.

    • Deinstalling the 1password Chrome extension
    • Disabling my MS Virus scanner
    • Rebooting the system multiple times
    • Checking the Windows Event logs

    Nothing helps.

    Is there any log file I could look into???

    HELP!! I am really stuck here. I am upgrading from 1password 4 and thought it would be a breeze.

    Hi @ehmeier,

    Thanks for reporting this.

    Do you recall ever trying 1Password 6 in the past? We've identified a new crasher when using 1Password 7.3 for the first time on computers that had 1Password 6 installed before. We're working on fixing this as soon as possible.

    Try downloading 1Password 7.2 here: https://c.1password.com/dist/1P/win6/1PasswordSetup-7.2.617.exe and see if it'll run. If yes, you should then be prompted to update to 1Password 7.3 that'll work as well.
