    I support this idea; having more third-party software support 1password would be good for you as well. As for the potential abuse, why not doing something like OSX own keychain ? An "Allow (third party software) to access 1password" dialog, with an entry for the master password if 1password is locked, etc. Or maybe an API key system that would allow to sandbox applications to their own private password store, but I'm not fond of this since it would prevent OSS software from using it.

    Thanks for the feedback, fraca7! It's not a simple thing to implement (and implement securely), but it is something comes up from time to time, so it remains on our radar. I can't give any promises of when or even if something like could materialize, but, like Jeffrey, I can say that we will certainly keep it in mind. :)
