How do I get 1Password to complete a login after I have double clicked it?

At my age I sometime do it wrong so I am resendinding my question just in case.

I open 1Password and under login I double click on the site I want to go to. The login page opens put 1 Password does not fill in the blanks. Can this be corrected?

Do I have to make Chrome my default to make it work?

@martyALP: If you want URLs to open in Chrome instead of something else, yes you'd need to set that as your default browser.
