hi. just setting up a new macbook air and i'm trying to get 1password setup. bought standalone mac license a while back, do i need to sign in with secret key info, etc?

You indicated you are using Dropbox for syncing, that would be a third party sync service and not part of our membership offerings. Our memberships are the only one to use a Secret Key. You have a newer Mac, and I thought I would direct you to a couple of support articles regarding 1Password 6 and its end of life. I would encourage you to read the articles and consider upgrading to 1Password 7.
