Finger print unlock is not possible with Apple Watch not at my wirst

If I have NO watch at my wirst, I cannot use the finger print as unlock method on my macbook. BOTH potions are active as possible unlock method.

This is happening trying to unlock the app both from the menu bar, or form the icon dock.
