Is it true I can't delete a vault?

Today as an experiment I created a new vault. I gave it the imaginative name of "Another Vault".

Now I find that I can't delete it and I can't rename it. From Forum reading it seems that I will have this vault until the end of time.

Is this really the case?

    It is possible to delete a vault in 1Password 6,

    Open 1Password and from the menu bar at the top of the screen, select 1Password 6 > Switch to vault - switch to the one you wish to delete. From the menu bar again select 1Password 6 > Delete [name of vault}

    • Be careful and make sure to delete the appropriate vault.

    I am going to move your post to the 1Password 6 area of the forum to prevent confusion. I would also highly recommend upgrading your machine if possible. You are running a much older OS and a version of 1Password that ceased development several years ago.

    That worked! Many thanks.
    Now, why couldn't I have found that myself? Something wrong with my logic, perhaps...

    By way of comment, thanks for the suggestion to upgrade, but my budget simply won't permit it. I am stuck where I am while the world swirls by. This relentless drive and need to buy more and waste yet more is unsustainable. We've reached a peak of some sort, methinks.

  • I'm glad Tommy was able to help. If we can be of further assistance, please don't hesitate to contact us.
