Is this a bug?

We have had one other report of this behavior. The developers are looking into this to determine what's happening.

I am also finding that after I use and close the app, a window remains open and the only way I can get my secure access back is to restart my computer. Here's a pic of the misbehaving/dysfunctional window--it does not offer me the option to enter my onepassword- (ugh! so now I'll do a restart!)0 -
selecting the "private" option does nothing...
and logging out of 1Password does not fix it.0 -
Hi @penart123
Please try the latest stable version of 1Password, instead of the beta:
- Quit 1Password 7 Completely by typing
^⌥⌘Q
(or just holding down theControl
andOption
keys as you choose Quit from the 1Password menu) - Delete 1Password 7 for Mac beta version. Don't use any app cleaners or uninstallers to do this, as these programs can remove more data than we want them to. Just drag the 1Password app to the Trash. Don't worry about your data; deleting the app doesn't touch it.
- Visit our downloads page and download a copy of the stable build
- Run the installer, and as soon as you unlock for the first time, open Preferences > Updates and see what the status of the beta checkbox is. If it's checked, UNcheck it.
Let me know what you discover, and if reverting to stable resolves the issue.
