I just installed 1Password family.

I want to create a local sync file. So I followed the instructions to
1. How to keep a copy of a standalone vault updated in a folder

Open and unlock 1Password.
Click All Vaults at the top of the sidebar or choose View > Show Vaults (Ctrl + D). If you have a different vault selected, you’ll see its name instead of All Vaults.
Click .... next to the name of the vault and choose “Enable sync”.

When I click on ... , I see Manage.... and Show in All Vaults.

On the login page I go to the vault,

and I get the message
3. This vault doesn’t have any permissions to edit.

Looks like that sync function do not exist for my version . What can I do next?

Thank you

    Hi @ericoh88,

Thank you for getting in touch! Sorry for the confusion.

Sync to a local folder option is available for local vaults only. When you have a 1Password account (individual, family, or team), your encrypted vaults are stored on our servers and you do not need any third-party services to sync your data. There is also no need for you to set up sync for your vaults – all you need to do on a new device is to download 1Password app and sign in to your account. It is that simple.

Moreover, when you use 1Password apps, your data is always cached locally on your devices, so you can view and edit it without an Internet connection. Any changes you make will become available on your other devices when you next go online. It means that you always have access to your data.

Let me know if it clarifies this situation. If you have any further questions, we are always happy to help.

    Cheers,
    Greg
