Not able to install browser extension 4.7.6.BETA-1 in Vivaldi browser?
I just wanted to try installing the newest version available of the 1Password browser extension. I'm on Windows 10 20H2 in the latest Vivaldi browser 3.5.2115.81 (Stable channel) (64-Bit). Stable version 4.7.5 of the extension I installed from Chrome Web Store and it works.
Because the stable version of the browser extension (4.7.5) is from 2019-06-25 I thought I should try the newer version 4.7.6.BETA-1 which was released on 2019-12-09 which is also more than a year old. But I wanted to test it because a bug was fixed in this release.
First I removed the stable browser extension. After that I downloaded the beta Chrome extension from https://app-updates.agilebits.com/product_history/OPX4 with this link: https://d13itkw33a7sus.cloudfront.net/dist/1P/ext/1Password-4.7.6.1.crx
But when trying to install this beta version into Vivaldi browser I got the error message "Package is invalid: CRX_Header_Invalid". Are you aware of this error message? How can I get the newest browser extension to work in Vivaldi browser?

Hey @DenalB ,
Vivaldi is Chromium based, so you can get the beta extension directly from Chrome's extensions store.
However, you don't need that version as the bug that was fixed is only relevant for Mac OSX. :)

Hi @ag_yaron!
Vivaldi is Chromium based, so you can get the beta extension directly from Chrome's extensions store.
I tried searching in the extension store but only found the beta for 1Password X. But as I see in your link this is a newer beta from 2020-05-12 - 4.7.6.BETA-2. :)
However, you don't need that version as the bug that was fixed is only relevant for Mac OSX.
Is there also nothing fixed for the Windows app in BETA-2? Because on the Update-Page (https://app-updates.agilebits.com/product_history/OPX4) there is only a BETA-1. ;)

Hey @DenalB ,
This extension can't be found in the search there, only a direct link will help you find it :)
And no, nothing was fixed on the Windows side of things. In general, we recommend using 1Password X, as it is still under active development and gets frequent updates. We're also working on integrating 1Password X with the desktop app soon, so you'll be able to enjoy both worlds while using 1Password X :)

Hi again @ag_yaron !
And no, nothing was fixed on the Windows side of things.
Good to know. So I can stay with the latest stable release of the extension.
In general, we recommend using 1Password X, as it is still under active development and gets frequent updates.
I would love to use 1Password X as soon as it works together with the Windows app. ;)

Glad I could help.
Someone will answer that other question soon enough with what I just said here :)0
