There's a problem with the edit window in v7.7 (and 7.7.1 betas) where the close buttons disappear and appear on top of other buttons.
Reproduce by following these steps:

  1. Go to a website you have a saved login for
  2. Click the 1PW icon in the browser toolbar or 1PW mini icon
  3. Click the Edit button to open the editor modal window
  4. Notice the macOS close, minimise & zoom buttons top-left plus the 1PW Cancel & Save buttons

  1. Click Cancel or Save. The macOS window buttons disappear and an Edit button appears. You now can't close the window.

  1. Click away from the modal window, then back into it to bring the macOS window buttons back, but now they're on top of the Edit button.

I'm seeing the same or similar issue, with 1Password 7.7 on macOS X Mojave 10.14.6:

    1. Search for an item in 1Password mini (menubar app).
    2. Click Pin on Screen.
    3. The pinned window will have no macOS window controls, as in snozdop's step #5.
    4. Click any other window, so the pinned 1Password item is no longer active.
    5. The macOS window control appear on top of the Edit button, as in snozdop's step #6.

This still isn't fixed, btw, and is a very frustrating and annoying UI issue. The Edit button should be moved to the right and the maximize/minimize/close buttons should always be visible.

Thank you all for reporting this! Our developers are aware of the bug, so hopefully they will be able to address this soon. In the meantime, using the Cmd+W keyboard shortcut should allow you to close that window even with the buttons missing :+1:
