I have installed the 1Password extension (desktop application required) into my dissenter browser. Clicking the extension does not return the expected result. Desktop application is showing the following error (screenshot below).

Dissenter is based on Brave (open source), which is based on Chromium (open source).

My browser is up-to-date. 1password is up-to-date.

1Password Version: 7.6.785
Extension Version: 4.7.5.90
OS Version: Windows 10
Sync Type: Not Provided

1Password X extension works fine in Dissenter, but I prefer to use the "application required" browser extension because for me the user experience is better.

    Hi @TrampledAmerican!

1Password has a list of whitelisted browsers that it trusts. Dissenter is not one of those I am afraid, so 1Password is refusing to connect to it for security reasons. In this case, 1Password X is indeed the right option to use, since it runs directly inside the browser, and therefore does not accept connections from the desktop app at all.
