Firefox extension locked on each browser restart
Hi there,
everytime I restart Firefox (close all tabs and windows) my 1Password extension is locked—even though the 1Password app runs unlocked in the background. I disabled Firefox’s privacy settings and turned off the option to automatically lock 1Password in the extension’s settings. Is this the intended behaviour?
On my Mac using the extension in Safari the extension keeps unlocked as long as the 1Password app is unlocked.
Thank you :)

Which extension are you using in Firefox? Are you using 1Password X or 1Password classic extension?

Hi @DenalB,
I’m using 1Password X, Version 1.23.0 together with 1Password 7.6.791 on Windows 10 Pro Version 1909. Sorry for not mentioning that in my initial post …
Thanks

Hey Thomas,
1Password X is not connected to the Windows desktop app! This extension is actually not working with the Windows desktop app. So, if you unlock the Windows desktop app, 1Password X extension stays locked and vice versa.
If you want to unlock 1Password only once - no matter if you are unlocking the Windows desktop app or the extension, you need to install the 1Password classic extension. You can find it here:
https://support.1password.com/cs/1password-classic-extension/It is planned to bring both together in the future, so that 1Password X is able to communicate with the Windows desktop app. But it takes some time. ;)

Works perfectly. I’m looking forward to the upcoming extensions.
Thank you Denal :)
