Thank you There is something. Would it be possible to improve the behavior of attached notes. It’s always been clumsy since it was introduced. Three or four steps, clicking different things, and often ending up with the QuickLook display underneath the window from which it was opened. Ideally the attachment should simply be double clicked to open full screen with selectable text if possible. Thanks again.

It's clumsy having two separate files, one for the item and another for the document. It's clumsy opening the file as well. QuickLook often does this

In the meantime, may I suggest you consider using custom fields? Instead of having an entire separate document linked to an item, you could add that information directly inside the item itself:
