Menu bar 1 Password no longer autofills
I generally use 1 password from the mac menu bar shortcut which previously allowed me to "Go" and "Autofill" in Chrome without the browser extension. The menu bar application would also autodetect the login for the website I was on if I opened the shortcut when on a login page existing in my vault. Recently in the past month or two this functionality stopped and I started to be prompted to install the 1Password chrome extension. I prefer not to install the extension for various reasons and am wondering why the previous functionality for the menu bar shortcut for autofill, auto detection of login, and autosave for new passwords no longer works?
1Password Version: 7.8.1
Extension Version: 1.24.1
OS Version: 10.15.4
Sync Type: 1password cloud

Discovered this problem was resolved by reverting to classic extension instead of the 1PasswordX extension.

Strange that the classic extension seems to allow for better functionality than the new extension so hopefully this is resolved soon as prompts in the menu bar for installing the new extension result in this type of performance regression.

Hey @dtothefp ,
We're currently working on integrating the new 1Password in the browser with the desktop app so you will be able to enjoy both worlds (e.g. use the mini icon in your menu bar and still have the new extension with its new capabilities). Keep your apps up to date and stay tuned :)
