App has a red icon on the top right that shows the attached when highlighted.
I prefer not to use Beta versions of software that is protecting much of my personal life information.
Not sure how to resolve this, and more importantly not sure how I can trust an application that says 'unexpected issues may appear'.

Also, I had been using the Browser Extension:
1Password – Password Manager
Size: < 1 MB Version4.7.5.90

This has become somewhat unresponsive of late? Not sure why? Maybe the newest versions of Edge Chromium?
I am using this build of Edge Chromium:
Microsoft Edge
Version 90.0.818.56 (Official build) (64-bit)

I saw there was a version from the Microsoft Store, which I installed and seems to be working better than the one above.
This version is:
Size: 13.3 MB Version: 1.24.2

1Password Version: 7.6.797
Extension Version: 4.7.5.90
OS Version: Win 10 21H1
Sync Type: Desktop and Cloud

    Howdy @Globespy 👋🤠

The message you're seeing there generally happens for anything that is not a stable or beta build, though this is also a fallback error message in the event there was an issue with 1Password for Windows reading the update channel name.

Could you try going to Settings > Update and toggling the Beta option on and then off again, and seeing if this resolves things?

I followed your instructions, then a reboot of Windows resolved it.
    Hopefully just a glitch.
    Thank you for your help.

  • Hey there @Globespy, thanks so much for giving that a go! I'm glad that @Blake's solution got things running for you.

Feel free to reach out if we can help with anything else!
