"Looking for the 1Password Helper"

in 1Password 7 for Windows

Windows 10 machine and Chrome browser. The 1Password extension does not respond (grayed over) and after several attempts at clicking on it, a new tab opens that says "Looking for the 1Password Helper. The 1Password helper must be running for the extension to work properly. Couldn’t connect to 1Password."

I've restarted the computer and verified that Chrome is up to date.

Same issue with the Edge browser.

OS Version: Windows 10

    Hi @Tipsy!

    Can you try opening a command prompt with the Windows key + R, and typing 1Password setup? Clicking on the browser extension should work afterwards. Let us know how it goes!

    I did as you instructed with no immediate result but I then closed and relaunched the browser and it now seems to function properly.
