Problem after OS re-install

in 1Password 3 – 7 for Mac

I have just re-installed mountain lion and I can't seem to find the agilekeychain to restore my backed up passwords. My time machine is backed up to an external hard drive. Does anyone know how to find them? Unfortunately, this can be a very frustrating situation when you spend hours looking. Thanks.

    Frustrating indeed.

    Backups are in ~/Library/Application Support/1Password/Backups if my memory serves me well. I am using the Mac App Store version which is stored in a different location.

    You should be able to restore the entire folder it would contain the backups and the keychain unless you were using Dropbox for syncing. In that case the actual keychain would be stored in Dropbox.

    Even if you used Dropbox for syncing the 1Password folder referenced above would still contain the backups.

    The default location of your active data file in 1Password 3.8 is:

    ~/Library/Application Support/1Password/1Password.agilekeychain

    As Tom mentioned, you might want to simply restore the entire 1Password folder in your ~/Library/Application Support/ folder.
