Can't save passwords to local vault

New to 1Password here. I bought a membership and am using on Mac and iOS devices.

My employer doesn't allow storing of passwords outside my device, so for my work laptop I am using a local vault. I have imported passwords and can login to sites as needed, no problem.

However, when I get a new login, if I hit the "Save in 1Password" button, I'm prompted to save in my Personal vault (read: sync'ed to my other devices despite my employer's decree). There doesn't seem to be a way to change it to store into my local vault. When I go to settings, both the "Always open to" and "Vault for Saving" are configured for my local vault. I could not find any sort of setting in the (Chrome) browser extension that might change it.

Is there something I'm missing here that I need to do?

Thanks.

    Hi @disrael!

The 1Password browser extension that you are using only supports vaults on 1Password.com. If you need to store items in a standalone vault, you will need the 1Password Classic Extension instead:

    Get the 1Password classic extension
