I had some issues on my compter after a repair, so I had to have a fresh install of the OS. Before wipping the HDD I backed up with Carbon Copy Cloner, and now I need to know the location of the old data so that 1Password can be useful again. Users->[Me]->Application Support in my back up drive does not have a 1Password Folder. Consequently, I am at a loss. Help

1Password 3.8 (from our website) stores its data in this location:

    ~/Library/Application Support/1Password

1Password 3.9 (from the Mac App Store) is sandboxed and thus stores its data in the Containers folder:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper/
    ~/Library/Containers/com.agilebits.onepassword-osx/

Specifically, the active data file is located here in 1Password 3.9:

    ~/Library/Containers/com.agilebits.onepassword-osx-helper/Data/Documents/1Password.agilekeychain

However it's best to simply restore the entire folders listed above for the version of 1Password that you are using.

If you are syncing via Dropbox, your data file will not be in either of those locations. It will be in your Dropbox folder. In that case, simply install Dropbox, wait for it to finish syncing, and then open 1Password. Your data will automatically be detected.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions.

    Cheers!
