1Password isn't working in Safari

Something is wrong today in Safari. 1Password is unlocked. I go to Citibank home page to log in. The username box indicates 1P is locked. I click it and I get No Items to Show.

This is just wrong. I've used 1P on this website for years, and I can copy/paste from the application to load the credentials. I also tried 1P for Safari, but it showed locked, enough though the application was unlocked on it. I thought I'd get the Touch ID option, but I didn't. I loaded the master password and got the spinner like this

It never stopped.

I see there's an update. Aren't any update notifications being sent? Sorry if this is obsolete.

1Password Version: 1Password for Mac 8.2.2-39.BETA
Extension Version: 2.1.0
OS Version: 12b8 (I think we're up to)

First, let's check that integration is properly enabled:

    1. Right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choose Settings.
    2. Under General, toggle "Integrate with 1Password app" off and on again.

We'll then want to make sure we fully quit and relaunch both 1Password and your browser:

    1. Quit Safari.
    2. Quit 1Password by right clicking the 1Password icon in your macOS menu bar and choosing Quit.
    3. Wait a few seconds and then open and unlock 1Password.
    4. Open Safari and test again to see if the issue is resolved.

If you're still having troubles, let me know and we can try a different approach.

Thanks again Chantelle. That fixed the problem.

  • Great to hear, @TomWolsky!
