Feature Request - collapsing app views

LOVE LOVE LOVE version 8! Great work!

Looks wonderful; however, please add the ability to collapse the far-left pane down to just icons. The real estate this program takes up on my PC is too much. I'm looking for ways to make it more slim when placed onto one side of my screen.

    Thanks so much for the kind words, and for taking the time to write in with this suggestion. I'll be happy to pass it along to our design team. I'm curious about how you'd anticipate this working for tags? Would they all simply collapse behind a single # symbol? The design team has been looking at ways to reduce the screen real estate used by the app. This might be one way of moving toward that.

    At this point, I'm not really using tags. I probably will now that my company is using the service. Haven't really thought that out.

    Another way to make the app fit better is to allow the user to set a compact, medium, large view (spacing between entries as well as font sizing).

    Hi @joseph_fsm, guess what - we've added some more options we hope will be helpful for you, including one you've requested here! 🥳

    In the latest Beta release of 1Password 8 (8.7.0-41), you can now:

    1. Use the interface zoom feature to make things in the app appear larger or smaller
    2. Use either Compact or Comfortable density options to change the spacing between items in your list, as well as the contents of the sidebar
    3. Select new options to determine whether Categories and Tags are displayed in the sidebar.

    You can find all of these under the Settings > Appearance menu. 👍

    Actually this doesn't solve the issue I'm seeking.

    I'd like for the whole program window to narrow even further than it does now. Hiding the sidebar would be helpful only if I could make the program window more narrow, like say by the width of the sidebar or more.

    Hi @joseph_fsm! I'm sorry to hear that Peter's suggestions didn't help here.

    I understand that you'd like to see the entire 1Password window narrow further. I can't make any promises about when of if this can be changed, but I'll include this feedback for the team so they can review for possible future implementation. Thanks for this follow-up!
