1Password suggesting email addresses instead of login
Hi,
Wondering if I am missing something - this is a more recent problem where 1Password consistently will suggest a contact email address from my saved identities instead of the login. This is always when the login window is split where it first asks for the username and then the password - kind of like the Google login process. And there's no way to actually get to the login other than manually opening it from the toolbar. Unless of course like in this example the toolbar is missing - then I have to manually copy and paste it from the Mac toolbar or 1Password app itself. The example here is the Boxcryptor login.
https://www.boxcryptor.com/app/ (redacted as it includes login keys)
Even the context menu doesn't allow for showing the full 1Password.
Is there a setting where I can change this behaviour?
Thanks
Andy

No, there is no setting to change it. It’s a regression in their auto-filling logic as a result of making the identity suggestion more prominent: https://1password.community/discussion/124167/1p-inserts-wrong-email-address
The current suggested workaround is exactly what you’re doing: filling using the toolbar button. Reportedly, this will be improved in a future update.

It does appear that 1Password has experienced some regression on boxcryptor.com. It appears to interpret the email address field as an email registration field and suggests email addresses from your Identity items instead of the appropriate Login item for the site. I'll be sure to add this one to the list of affected sites with our development team. In the meantime, I'd recommend clicking the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar and choosing Autofill from there. I realize this is not ideal, but should achieve what you're after. I do apologize for the disruption to your workflow here.

Thanks @andy_vdg
Thanks for sharing these! I'll get zapier.com added the list of affected sites. For the stripe.com issue, I'm unable to access this URL you've shared and I'm unable to reproduce this on their public facing login page. Would you be able to collect some page details for us?
- On the page exhibiting the behaviour, right click the 1Password icon in your browser toolbar.
- Click Help and choose Collect Page Structure.
- 1Password will save a .json file to your "Downloads" folder.
- Send downloaded .json file to support+x@1password.com with a link to our current discussion.
One of our extensions team members will have a look and get an issue filed with our development team.

Hey @mdp553! We've been chatting with our developers about that site, and they've been able to make some changes to how 1Password fills on it. It doesn't appear that those changes have made it into the latest version of 1Password beta just yet, but it should be there soon. If you don't have 1Password beta installed, you can set it up from here: https://support.1password.com/betas/#install-a-beta-release-of-the-1password-extension
Additionally, I would recommend keeping up with our extension release notes, which would detail the change once it is out: https://app-updates.agilebits.com/product_history/B5X. For this case, look for issue #10413.
I hope that helps!
