I've just upgraded my system to Fedora 35 and it looks like the Chrome Extension <> Desktop App communication is borked. The extension is not unlocking with the app anymore and instead it just advises me that there's a pending Chrome update. However I'm on the latest stable version of Chrome (96.0.4664.110) with the latest version of the extension (2.1.4); I'm also up-to-date on the Desktop side of things with the latest available update (8.4.1 - '80401002, on PRODUCTION channel') from the stable rpm repo.

The extension logs themselves aren't that telling:
šŸ’« Looking for desktop app com.1password.1password background.js:2
šŸ“¤ Sending message to native core <831602045> background.js:2
Received from the native core
