1Password (v. 6.8.9) fails to open vault on my M1 Mac

Hi!
I have the 1Password version 6.8.9 of the app (installed from the Mac App Store via cloud). It worked (and still works) fine on my old intel Mac, but since I switched to my new M1 Mac (MBP 16") if fails to open the vault.

Behaviour is:
1. App starts
2. I enter the correct password
3. The app gets stuck on the password screen with a flushing "lock" icon
4. The vault never opens.

(My vault synchs via iCloud)

Please provide support on this! (I have purchased this for a considerable amount of money, and I do not plan to switch to the subscription model - e.g. 1P7 or 8)

    I sincerely apologize for the trouble you're running into here. 1Password 6 has been retired for nearly 4 years now, and is no longer receiving updates.

    As a quick look, this thread here appears to be a similar issue as well, however there's no guarantee that the steps they've used will be successful on your end: 1Password 6 stuck — 1Password Support Community

    As our troubleshooting options for 1Password 6 are limited at this point, if the tips provided in that thread don't resolve the issue for you, at this point the next option would be helping you upgrade to 1Password 7.
