Apple Silicon MBP & TouchID

I've just migrated from an Intel MBP to an Apple Silicon MBP which has TouchID.

When I launch the full-fat 1PW app, I can unlock using TouchID. But if the app locks (due to inactivity), to unlock using TouchID I have to go to the menu and select "Unlock using TouchID".

The browser plugin does not have this problem: At any time I can unlock with TouchID.

That's odd as the browser plugin uses the unlocking feature built into the Mac app. I'd suggest trying a complete quit as a first step. Here's how to quit 1Password completely using our helper in the menu bar.

    1. Look for our helper in the menu bar near the WiFi indicator and the clock. Right-click (Option-click) on the helper and select quit 1Password completely.
    2. Quit your browser.
    3. Wait a few seconds and then open 1Password from the Dock or the Applications folder and unlock.
    4. Open your browser.
