Autofill Not Working for Syniti / Quadrate Website

Options

When I go to the Syniti Data Workbench site (formerly known as Quadrate), the Autofill doesn't fill the form properly. It 'resolves' fine - meaning I can see the pop up in Chrome asking for 1Password to fill the credentials, but when I chose the entry, it does nothing - it doesn't populate the e-mail address or password fields.

Per some other suggestions - I have tried modifying the URL in 1Password using both the specific log-in page, https://support.quadrate.com/hc/en-us/signin?locale=en-us - as well as the root address https://support.quadrate.com and that doesn't help.

This has been an issue across multiple 1Password releases and has never worked with this site for as long as I can remember - I'm just reporting it now to see if something can be done to improve the Autofill in 1Password for this (or similar) sites in the future.

Any help would be appreciated!

Hey @Keifer, thanks for reaching out about this. I went to the login form on the website, created a test login, and was able to fill it: https://cln.sh/Djj3q5. I am indeed using Chrome, and I tested with version 2.2.3 of 1Password in the browser.

I'm wondering why we have different experiences. Could you manually save a new login for the site and see if it fills? Here is how to do that: https://support.1password.com/save-login-manually/

Let me know how that goes!

Yeah that did it.... but why?

I noticed it updated my existing login with a new domain (that wasn't listed in the main URL) - it added https://backofficeassociates.zendesk.com as a second site to my existing entry.

In the last 10+ years of using 1Password, I've maintained 100% of all my passwords manually in the desktop client manually. Does this mean to uncover any 'hidden' URLs in pop up forms like this, I must always use this method to create/update the entry using the browser extension so that it can detect the 'real' domain being used on the 'form pop-up'?

Hi again @Keifer Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. I'm really glad saving a new login for the site resolved the issue.

So the filling issue here was not related to the URL. Instead, it was related to the sign-in form, which was likely updated. When this happens, the old form details from the login that was previously created may no longer match what's on the website. That's why filling would no longer work. Creating a new login from the site fixes the issue because it allows 1Password to capture the updated data from the form. From there, 1Password will be able to match the data to the form and then fill it correctly.

As for the additional URL's associated with a site, it is not added when a login is added manually via the app or 1Password.com. It is only added if you save a login via the extension. This allows 1Password to do its magic on the backend and link websites which are related. We get this data from Apple. We also have our own internal list for this.

It's certainly okay to manually create your logins from the 1Password desktop app or 1Password.com. However, I would recommend using the extension to save logins as it has some great benefits.

I hope this clears things up! Please let us know if you have any other questions.
