    I had this issue as well. I disabled everything in McAfee Endpoint security and re-ran the install. It worked.

  • @gregJe - I'm happy to hear this was resolved after disabling McAfee.

    If you have troubles in the future with 1Password installations or updates, you can exclude the entire 1Password folder and the 1Password.exe in McAfee, then reboot your device. The 1Password directory can be found here - %localappdata%\1Password and the 1Password.exe is here: %localappdata%\1Password\App\8.
