I've noticed that when my user ID consists of a number string, such as a debit card or library card number, 1Password converts that string to something like scientific notation: 2.9098E+13

Sometimes it seems to convert it back into the original format but other times inserts the new text as the User ID.

How can I insure that the text will be converted to the original format when entering into a field?

    I'm sorry to hear that you're running into trouble here.

    Just to investigate a bit further, are you seeing this in the 1Password desktop app, or the 1Password extension in your browser? When you autofill in your browser, does it show the scientific notation result in the field, or the proper value?
