Re-installed 1pw v4 and activation fails

in 1Password 4 for Windows

This is the error message located in the log file:
_ The protocol version the client has attempted to negotiate is
recognized, but not supported. (For example, old protocol
versions might be avoided for security reasons). This message is
always fatal._

Please don't tell me that I can not activate my legal license again?

(Yes, I know v4 is old, but renting software, especially something that stores my important data, is not something I'm interested in)

    Thanks for writing in! If you download the latest available version of 1Password 4 for Windows (4.6.2.626), available here, does that improve your state of play? Let me know!

    Hi Jack.
    As far as I can tell, v4.6.2.626 works perfectly. In fact, it seemed to find the key I had entered when trying to activate the older version and started without prompting me for the key (Although the Registered To filed is blank).
