Finding one's way around Agile Bits websites...

Not a complaint; just an observation. Agile Bits has several websites (Agilebits, Discussions, Blogs) and they don't seem (to me) to connect in a coherent fashion. For example, I was in a Mac Discussion with a question and was referred to someone's Blog. OK, where's the Blogs...? Did a google search and found it OK. But the Blog site doesn't link to the Discussions. When I go to the main Agilebits site, Blogs are linked in the top bar but Discussions are not. The Discussions site doesn't link directly to either of the others. Would it be reasonable for each of the three sites have direct links to the other two? Thanks

    The bottom of every blog post has a link to this forum for discussion (in lieu of embedded blog comments). The blog itself is linked from the top navigation of every page on our website. There is a link to our website in the footer at the bottom of every page on this forum. It's a virtuous circle. :)

    I don't see the link where you say.
    I always have difficulties finding my way to the forums from agilebits.com, well, difficulties... I just can't find it!
    Then I desist and use the saved address link I have.
    Why don't you just put it clearly on the menu or at least on the support section? Isn't it more logical that forums are part of support, not the blog (where I don't find the link to here either)?
    Going back to agilebits.com using a shadow like, small sized link at the bottom is not very user friendly either. You are just forcing people to look around and see if they find where to go instead of making it easily accessible. Not every user is good at observation or even good with computers (I know, I have students...)

    Make it user friendly, pal. Just sayin' ;)

    The bottom of every blog post has a link that says:

    We'd love to hear your comments in our forum!

    The links to the forum are very strategic to control inflows. We encourage less advanced users to email us directly since everyone already knows how to use email, and a forum has a learning curve (especially if we need a Diagnostics Report or a screenshot attached).

    That said, the forum is indexed by Google (and other search engines), so any search for "1Password forum" or a topic for which there is a thread will produce a link here. :D

    Or just use the Go & Fill feature with your forum Login. There's never a need to go digging for any URL that you have saved in 1Password. ;)

    I agree with the OP that it's quite difficult to find the forum. I just looked for a link: When you go to http://1password.com (=http://agilebits.com) there's none. On the blog page? None. Support page? None.

    I also would expect a link at least on the support page. The link at the end of each blog post might be okay if you read the posts. If you you don't read the posts regularly and just want to go straight to the forum, the link is too buried.

    Thanks for you input on this!

    I just reread my post above, and I don't think I explained it clearly enough. My apologies for that, @Steinthal.

    We've been intentionally managing the inflows in the forum by keeping the barrier to entry a bit higher. We really do want most users to email us for the best experience. However, once you are part of the community here, you never have to dig for a URL since you already saved the Login in 1Password. Just use your Login item to Go & Fill, and you'll be right here. :D

    I'll certainly pass your feedback along, though. We always remain "agile", and feedback from our awesome users helps guide us.

    If we can be of further assistance, please let us know. We are always here to help!

    Here is what I just did to find my way to the forums, which I like a lot. I saw this thread and couldn't help commenting.

    Google 1Password -> https://agilebits.com/
    Click "Support" -> https://agilebits.com/support
    Click "1Password For Mac" -> http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/1password_getting_started.html
    Click "Contact" -> http://help.agilebits.com/1Password3/contact_us.html
    Click "Please Join Us!" -> http://discussions.agilebits.com/

    Of course I have my password saved in 1Password, I just need to remember to use it!

    Of course I have my password saved in 1Password, I just need to remember to use it!

    That is always the hard part for me too. 1Password remembers all my passwords, usernames, and even URLs so I don't have to remember them. I just have to remember that it remembers. :)

    If it helps, our forum uses the exact same subdomain as Apple does for their forum (i.e. discussions.agilebits.com vs. discussions.apple.com). That might be a helpful way to remember it if you don't think to use 1Password's Go & Fill feature.
