Old and not used accounts still show up in Sign In form
Hi there! Using 1Password 8 beta (latest) on Mac. When I click on menu "Accounts / Sign In to Another Account" it shows a window and there I can see couple very old accounts that I do not use anymore (from old job of mine). How can I remove them from the list, it's kind of annoying seeing them?
Also, on this note: sometimes the beta "forget" one of accounts I'm signed in to. I have 1 family and 1 work, and it keeps forgetting the work one from time to time.

Hey @ezaritov:
Great question! The found accounts are shown from iCloud Keychain, and you can definitely delete them from iCloud Keychain if you'd like:
- On the Mac, launch the "Keychain Access" utility that comes with macOS
- In the search box in the upper-right corner of the app, search for
com.agilebits.onepassword.b5Credentials
- Each search result you see is one account's details that are stored in iCloud Keychain
You can delete all of those entries if you want to remove all of the account credentials stored in iCloud Keychain (this won't impact the 1Password app or your account); if you only want to remove the one specific set of credentials:
- Double-click on the entry you want to examine
- Tick the "Show password" box at the bottom of the Attributes tab, and enter your macOS user password when prompted
- The contents of the box will show the stored account details - you can click into the box and use the up and down keys on your keyboard to see all of the details
- When you have identified the entry that relates to the specific membership you no longer want to have recorded in iCloud Keychain, delete that one
com.agilebits.onepassword.b5Credentials
entry.
As for forgetting one of your accounts, do you mean it stays locked when you unlock 1Password, or something else? Let me know, and I can dig in further with you!

Thank you Jack.
Q1. "Remove old accounts from sign in list"
Following up on what you suggested. I have kind of partial success here. I signed out of all accounts on 1Password 8 Beta, then deleted everything you said from Keychain access. Now, when I try and sign in again into 1Password, it still shows me some old accounts - but some were removed, still several remain.
Attaching a picture to visualize what I mean:On this picture, I have 2 Continuum.Social accounts (the flags in the end are part of the name). The thing is that originally opened Continuum.Social as .com account, but later when I needed to upgrade and start to pay, I opened the same on .ca account, used the same email for it and paid there. Now I see them both - and I'd like to remove both of them, so I can sign in only in .ca one
Q2. "forgetting one of your accounts"
I have 2 accounts signed in (the .ca from Continuum.Social and personal one) in my family account. Sometimes, don't know why, when I open 1Password, the .ca account is not there, only family one. So I need to sign in again into .ca one - and this how I bump into Q1 above.
I'm happy to start from clean slate - sign out from all accounts, clean the list and start again. My keychain is empty but the sign it still shows the list as per Q1. What do I do?

Hey there @ezaritov,
Thanks so much for sharing those screenshots, they're very helpful! To confirm, after signing out of all your 1Password accounts from the 1Password 8 desktop app, did you quit the 1Password app and re-launch it? If not, it might still be showing those credentials if those accounts had just been signed out (particularly if the "Add Account" page was still open when the keychain item was deleted).
Could you open up Keychain Access, confirm that you only have the
.b5Credentials
items there that you wish to keep, then launch 1Password 8 and try adding a new account? Make sure you have Emergency Kits for your accounts before removing them. Do any of the other entries still pop up? If they do, email us atsupport+mac@1password.com
with your username and a link to this issue, and we can dig deeper with you. 😊 After you email in, you should receive a Conversation ID that looks like this: [#ABC-12345-678]. Please paste that here, and I'll use it to track your email down from my end.Sometimes, don't know why, when I open 1Password, the .ca account is not there, only family one. So I need to sign in again into .ca one - and this how I bump into Q1 above
That's definitely strange - is it possible that the other account is still present in the app, but locked? In 1Password 8 each account with a unique account password must be unlocked separately, so it's possible that the .ca account isn't unlocked yet when it appears to be missing. The next time it appears that the .ca account is missing, could you click the account selector in the top-left corner of the 1Password app, and see if your .ca account is present with a lock icon? It will look something like my Test account in the screenshot below:
Thanks, I look forward to hearing from you! 😀

@Dayton_ag Thank you, the problem is still there (quit, deleted the app, cleaned keychain, rebooted couple times, installed the app - the list is there). I sent email as you instructed but I haven't had any email reply back for over an hour, nothing in Spam either.

Hey y'all - just as an update this thread, I was forgetting about the local cache of 1Password data. 😅 If you have a copy of your 1Password database from a prior installation of 1Password 8, the desktop app will suggest adding the accounts that were part of that database file. Re-naming that database will stop the suggestions.
If you'd like a hand with this process, send us an email at

Hey @Dayton_ag - that was it, fixed! I can see only the accounts I need, thank you!
