V6 vs V8 browser extension settings, poor usability?

I asked this same Q years ago, but see V8 beta was out, tried it, but looks like its no different, wondering if ther are additional missed a setting?

coming from V6, where browser dropdown is a nice tidy list... devoid of big meaningless 2 letter icons, small names and overall less unnecessary info.

Was hoping there was a setting in V8, to return to V6s magnificent, incredibly useful and super productive browser extension simpleness. With 50 logins to a single site (a la bluehost) the bloatware that is the browser extension makes it the opposite -- useless and unproductive.

In the screen shot below, V8 on the left, where it only shows half my logins, but the window takes up 2X the space. Its like the readers digest for old people setting. Vs V6 on the right, where they are accessible with a single glance. No extra data I do not need to see... its a "shortcut"... right?

Maybe there is a way to make the V8 window taller so I can see all of the logins? I have *more * than enough screen.

Any help would be great... otherwise looks like its the same outcome as years ago... stick to V6. And eventually when V6 stops being supported... who knows.

  • Hi @badgerbadger:

There currently isn't any settings for 1Password in the browser that would allow you to hide the icon, or tweak the size. With that said though, I'll definitely share your feedback with the team.

In the meantime however, you can filter results inline by typing in the field the inline menu is displaying on, like so:

    Jack
