Master password after restart
Hello,
So, on 1P7 on my Mac I was able to unlock my vault via Touch ID even after restarting. Ever since upgrading to 1P8, I need to enter my master password before the ability to use Touch ID is enabled.
Is there any reason this has changed?

Hello grovolis21! 👋
I'm sorry to hear that you're unable to use Touch ID after a restart of your Mac. I can confirm that you should be able to use Touch ID to unlock 1Password 8 after a restart so it sounds like something is going wrong on your Mac. I'd like to ask you to create a diagnostics report from your Mac:
Sending Diagnostics Reports (Mac)
Attach the diagnostics to an email message addressed to
support+forum@1password.com.With your email please include:

The report will be in zip format. Please send the entire file.
You should receive an automated reply from our BitBot assistant with a Support ID number. Please post that number here. Thanks very much!

+1 thats an issue that has been posted here several times recently. only way is to downgrade to v7 and either find another password manager or hope they get it right in v9. we wont see majority of reported issues fixed in v8 anytime soo. their team is here just collecting votes for which issue to fix first
