Why do you make it so hard to find the 1Password version numbers?

I'm a long-time user and have a paid family subscription. It's always been hard to find the 1Password version numbers, in almost every context, and it seems to be getting harder. I've been hearing about 1Password 8 for more than a year. Is it available? I log into 1Password in my browser, go to the Get the Apps page. Here, I can download the app for the Mac. Which app? Version 7 or 8? The only way I can see to find out is to click the download link, open the zip file, and inspect its version number.

It's similar for 1Password for Safari. There is no hint on the Get the Apps page about what version I can download. Clicking the link takes me to another 1Password page, with an 'Install' button below a Safari icon. No way to see what version I will install. Nor even what it is. Is it an extension? The other 'Install' buttons on this page, for the other browsers, install extensions. But 1Password told me some time ago that Safari doesn't allow a 1Password extension of the old type. Downloading the zip file, I find that 1Password for Safari is now a separate app, currently version 2.3.5. Why can't the Get the Apps page explain this new situation? Is this version compatible with 1password 7? With 1Password 8? Both? Is this secret information that you don't want your users to know?

I heard several weeks ago on the 1Password podcast that 1Password 8 is now available for iOS. Can I download it via the Get the Apps page? There is no way to tell, except for clicking on the '1Password for iOS' link, which opens an Apple App Store Preview window, which, if I scroll down, will reveal a version number of 7.9.6. So maybe version 8 really isn't available. Or maybe there is another secret needed to find out how to get version 8 for iOS.

It really seems like the 1Password team does not want its customers to be able to find out version numbers and other information about the apps that we are paying for. It wastes a lot of my time, and it bothers me that you don't seem to trust us, and you make it so difficult to find such basic information.

_1Password Version: Who knows?
_Extension Version: How could I find out?
_OS Version: 12.4
Browser: Safari, Firefox, Edge, and when forced, Chrome
