8.8 update doesn't work
Since I've updated to 8.8.0, 1Password no longer works. I have the extension installed in Safari, but it no longer auto-fills. I must open 1P then copy + paste. Can you please help?
1Password Version: 8.8.0
Extension Version: 2.3.7
OS Version: macOS 12.5.1
Browser:_ Safari

Hi pamala,
Thanks for upgrading to 1Password 8, I'm sorry to hear the Safari browser extension isn't working as expected! I'd like you to please check the following:
- In your Applications folder on your MacOS device, do you see an app called
1Password for Safari
? If not, you can download it here: Get started with 1Password in your browser - When you open Safari, do you see the 1Password icon in your browser's toolbar?
- In your Safari preferences, under Extensions, is
1Password for Safari
enabled?
Let me know what you find and we can troubleshoot further from there. 🙂

It stopped working again + I can't get the extension to open in Safari. I can't send a screenshot, but I've got 1Password for Safari AND Start using 1Password in Safari window open, but 1Password is NOT in the Safari extensions list, so I can't add it. REALLY frustrating!

I have the same problem. Review previous post under "Problems with Mac" This is REALLY getting disconcerting!

Please try opening 1Password and from the menu bar select the help menu and then trouble shooting finally on Fix missing Safari extension.

1Password hasn't worked with Safari for 5 months now. Even if you get the extension installed, all you're going to get is it being constantly locked, not unlocking, not responding to mouse presses, or just tossing up barf notifications. It's unusable.
You have two choices:
- Pick a different browser
- Pick a different password manager
