I have already installed the Browser extension. When I right click on sign-in information on a website I now see 1Password but it apparently contains no data to fill. Can you assist?

This pertains to my inability to fill passwords using !Password since updating to 8.8 a few days ago. Thanks.

Problem fixed. Downloaded the Safari Extension again and it seems to be working properly.

  • @sma

Please make sure you downloaded 1Password for Safari from the Mac App Store.

I am unable to automatically have new logins save to 1password--instead, I have to manually enter the credentials into 1Password.

  • Hi @sma,

Could it be this setting in the browser extension?

You can access this by right-clicking the 1Password icon on Safari's toolbar > Settings. In the new tab that appears, select Autofill on the left and then double check that the highlighted option is turned on.

Let me know if that helps. 🙂

My screen looks a bit different than yours, but the option to fill and save is on. Thanks for the thought.

I am using the Safari Extension version 2.3.7, BTW.

  • Thanks for your reply, @sma. To confirm, the setting that we want to ensure is turned on here is Offer to save new sign-ins. It may also be worthwhile to update your 1Password browser extension version, you can do so by visiting the Mac App Store page: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/1password-for-safari/id1569813296?mt=12

If the issue persists after that, I'd like to ask you to take a screenshot of what you're seeing on your browser extension's settings page and attach it to your reply:

This will help us confirm the correct settings are turned on. 🙂

Let me know how this goes!

Yes--the Offer to save new sign-ins is on.
