1Password 8 for Mac - Update Notified from 8.8.0 to 8.9.4 - but never succeeds
Hi All, today I've been constantly notified that a new version of the 1Password 8 for Mac is available - 8.9.4 Production - and that it will be updated upon restart. However, whenever I restart - whether it be via immediate restart - or upon exiting or closing and re-starting the application, the update never seems to succeed. The application remains at version 8.8.0. If there's a way to manually perform such an update directly, please let me know.
I seem to remember in earlier 7.x versions, there was an option to "Quit 1Password Completely", which may have been relevant, but I suspect that's no longer the case in the new app deployment model - Electron isn't it?
1Password Version: 8.8.0
Extension Version: 2.3.7
OS Version: 12.5.1

Hi @treeandrew !
I'm sorry for the troubles you've experienced with updating 1Password 8. Let's delete and reinstall the 1Password app to see if it helps resolve the issue. Here are the steps:
- Quit all open web browsers.
- Make sure 1Password 8 is completely closed (not in the menu bar).
- Drag 1Password from the Applications folder to the Trash. Do not use an "app cleaner" or "uninstaller" tool to remove the app or additional files. If prompted, enter the password you use to sign in to your Mac.
- Restart your Mac.
- Download the latest version of 1Password from the 1Password website
- Quit any open web browsers and then install 1Password.
- Open and unlock 1Password before opening your web browser.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Alvin
